The Book...

Just to catch everyone up to speed, since I've been extremely quiet lately. I'm not ignoring people, I'm just a tad bit busy!

Starting this network inspired me to finally try for a book. I've been pitching the idea for a collection of gay and lesbian ghosts and GLBT-owned haunted places, and things are looking promising. I'm awaiting word on my proposal from a publishing company right now after they expressed a lot of interest. Of course, I'd love to discuss the specifics, but that darn confidentiality stuff gets in the way! I'll just say it's a very well-known publisher (I've been reading books from them for over a decade) and barring any unforeseen disasters, I could have answers withing a month or so.

I have 30 stories, with an additional 5 or so that need to be researched and confirmed. I'm hoping for more as well. It's very exciting for me, and would truly be the first book if its kind ever made.

Needless to say, I've been half stressed and half overjoyed. But I'll become more active now that it's back to the waiting game!

My book comes out next month still, but there's been a title change after conflicts with bookstore categories. So, it'll be called Queer Hauntings instead of Queer Paranormal.
