Paranormal Experience:
I've had several experiences in my life leading me to pursue my interest in the paranormal. The first couple were when I was about 10 or 11 and my mother sold home products and did a part in a "haunted house" there I saw an apparition of a girl and witnessed an empty chair rocking quickly by itself.

Later, I had the experience of smelling Anna Whaley's perfume at the Whaley House in San Diego.
About Me:
I am a former manager at Sonoran Paranormal Investigations (a TAPS group) in Arizona. I was very pleased to work with the group, but over time my interests shifted away from the amateur gadget driven ghost hunting to a more serious interest in the psychology and sociology of this cultural phenomenon and how it is that we perceive places (or people) to be "haunted." I have a keen interest in trying to understand the mechanisms of our psychology and physiology that either allow us to experience some "paranormal" event or allow us to misinterpret events as "paranormal."

My strong interest in PSI phenomena has also led me to study how that field intersects with haunting research.

I live with my partner of 11+ years, Michael. We are located in Tucson AZ, after moving here from my home state of South Carolina. He originally is from Wisconsin but lived in AZ from the age of 19 until he met me in 1997.

Michael is a musician and composer while my pursuits tend more to the literary.

I am also a liver transplant survivor and activist for Marriage Equality.

About Me

I am a member of Sonoran Paranormal Investigations, Inc. Within that group I am a member of SPISearch- the Research Team where my primary function is data collection and reporting. I have a lifelong interest in the paranormal and am honored to work with SPI, a TAPS family member.

I also have a blog, Buck's Ghosts & Hauntings.
